INTERACTIVE LIGHT INSTALLATION

Created by Atelier dittó in collaboration with Rosalinde Vermeulen, This interactive light installation invites visitors to answer the question, “What is your light?” After scanning a QR code from a floormat, participants can submit their one-word answer, which is immediately projected into the space as a radiant ray of light. Each word in the ray represents an individual visitor’s response. As more people contribute their answers, the installation generates an increasing amount of light, transforming personal reflections into a collective display of hope and positivity.

Ray of Light is a traveling installation that seeks answers from various locations around the world, connecting these insights into both print and digital formats. This process allows the installation to grow and evolve over time.

Reading what brings light to others’ lives, distilled into a single word, can foster a sense of unity, warmth, and hope, potentially brightening someone’s day.

One of the emerging print formats from the installation is a personalized textile art print. This print features a chronological word list from each exhibition and can be ordered with your input answer highlighted in a glow-in-the-dark color.
